Taylor Made Doulas 2016 Diaper Drive & Family Fun Day

 In Uncategorized

Last weekend Taylor Made Doulas partnered with local businesses and neighbors to host a great day benefitting an even greater cause. We were able to raise awareness for families struggling with diaper need throughout Sacramento.

One in three families have difficulty providing necessary baby care products including quality disposable diapers.

Public assistance programs are available to some for baby food and nourishment, but it falls short in providing various baby hygiene products including fresh diapers.

Although cloth diapers are an option for home, washing them at a local laundromat is strictly prohibited for health and sanitary reasons.

Taylor Made Doulas set out with partnership from the Folsom Ripples to Waves and Tubman House to raise awareness of this rising social concern and health epidemic. The diapers we raised went directly to families in need and a portion of the proceeds benefitted these amazing family organizations.

This Diaper Drive and family fun event featured children’s activities, vendor booths, food and more. This community event brought together our many supporters and partners in order to raise awareness about the babies in need of clean, dry diapers throughout Sacramento County.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our diaper drive this summer. It was amazing to see our community unite to share a compassionate and lending hand to families in need. We want to send a special thanks to Mercy Folsom Hospital for their diaper collections and to Make Me Divine Salon and Spa and Poof Luxebaby Diapers for their contributions.
