Taylor Made Doulas Support the 4th Trimester
Postpartum is the period of time after giving birth when families are adjusting physically and emotionally to welcoming a new member into their family. Since the beginning of time, postpartum women have been surrounded by other women in the family or community to offer daily support to assist with newborn baby care, infant feeding, confidence building, household chores, sibling adjustment and meal preparation. This allows the new family a deeper opportunity to settle into their new roles, bond with their new baby, and strengthen their connection as a family unit. Taylor Made Doulas is dedicated to honoring this age-old tradition in our current fast-paced culture.
Overnight postpartum support is beneficial for breastfeeding and formula feeding families alike. You will gain several hours of additional sleep each night your doula is with you. Sleep is crucial for your emotional wellbeing. A well-rested family is able to enjoy their waking time with their newborns more fully than a family who is exhausted. Considering the added bonus of a clean house, fresh laundry and prepared snacks for the day ahead of you upon waking. Now who can say no to that?
Daytime support is beneficial for families with tons of help to couples doing this on their own. It is amazing how we are opened up to understanding every small detail that goes into making our homes run efficiently and in a healthy manner when trying to recover from birth. Having a postpartum doula on your team brings an extra set of hands to provide nutrients throughout the day and create an environment that allows for focus upon nurturing yourself and baby.
We know that you and your family’s needs are unique. Just like we believe that you know what is best for your family, we also believe that you know what support package feels right for you. Taylor Made Doulas has created several packages that give our clients optimal support and tailored options. Discover each package and know that each service we offer can be customized to fit your unique needs, schedules and desires. A non-refundable retainer of 1/3 the total cost of hours contracted is required at the signing of this contract. The client will be billed weekly for all hours except for the last 1/3 of the contracted hours, which will be satisfied by the initial retainer.
Know for the first week or two you and your baby will be fed, rested and have all of your questions and needs met. Your home will be tended to and your partner will get the opportunity to soak up moments with you while they are cared for through each moment too. Our silver package includes 60 hours of postpartum support and is used during the first 2 weeks.
From the questions you remember the minute you get home, to the discoveries you come across the first month, this package of 120 hours typically covers about 4 weeks of care, transition, discovery, and rest.
As one of our most popular of our postpartum care package, 180 hours allows for consistent care for the first eight weeks. Allowing a healthy mix of some overnight care and day support, continuous nurturing, assistance and care.
