LABOR DOULA | POSTPARTUM DOULA
Hey, I’m Emma Rea,
I serve families looking to have an amazing birth experience and prepared and relaxed homecoming with their new baby. I strive to empower families with full-spectrum tools and support to flourish and thrive through each stage of the childbearing year.
I see pregnancy and birth as a spectacular time in a woman’s life when she deserves an incredible birth team by her side to help her have the birth of her dreams. I recognize that avid preparation, unconditional support, and evidence-based education create the hallmarks of premium prenatal and postpartum doula care and I apply each of these qualities to my practice.
I received my training through the completion of both the beginning and advanced Heart & Hands Doula Training and Prerequisite Midwifery Intensive Courses in San Rafael, Ca. I am currently enrolled in The National Midwifery Institute where I will complete my clinical training and sit for the NARM exam to become a Certified Professional Midwife.
When I am not doing my dream job of greeting babies earthside, I can be found exploring the world with the loves of my life; My witty and beautiful 8-year-old daughter Dahlia, my incredible wife Brie and our wacky little parrot, Rio. In my spare time, I enjoy writing music at my piano, soaking up the sun at the beach and indulging in anything peanut butter and chocolate.

I am an accomplished singer, songwriter, and pianist. I came close to moving to Los Angeles and pursuing the music industry but life had other plans for me that would be more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined; giving birth to my daughter at age 19.
I traveled through Thailand, Cambodia, and Singapore working in orphanages when I was 15 and it changed my life.
I secretly love The Bachelor.
